    Hello! I saw your website after a google search about weight loss and muscle gain. Five years ago, I was an extreme martial artist and in the best shape of my life at 36 years old. I moved to South Dakota, gained 35 pounds, so two months ago, I started my fitness regime again. My question is this – is it possible to lose ten pounds in weight and gain ten pounds in muscle mass?

    The reason I ask is because two months ago, I weighed in at 165, then three weeks ago, I weighed in at 158, I’m on a dairy-free diet (milk allergies), I work out five days a week – 45 minutes resistance/weight training and 45 minutes variate cardio (high and low intensity). Three weeks later, I fit my clothes better, I’ve obviously lost fat but I’m still at 158??!?!?

    I am a female, 5′1, medium bone density, and my fighting weight ten years ago was 125. I am 41 now and hoping to get at least down to a toned 135. Is this realistic?

    Is this a period that I plateau (lost 10 lbs. fat/gained 10 lbs. muscle) and then start to see weight loss in the coming weeks?

    I would greatly appreciate any comments.
